Becoming an Apprentice
In order to be recognized by the state as an apprentice you must be hired as an employee by a member salon or spa listed on our website. Unlike traditional training that offers new sessions every quarter, our salons and spas hire only one to two at a time.
Those that have been successful in completing the program have been individuals who possess a passion for the beauty industry, take initiative, self-motivated, positive attitude, loyal, enjoy people, take direction well, and has a sense of maturity.
Apprenticeship is a long “time” commitment for both you and the member salon/spa. With that said, in order for you to be content through this program it is important to find a salon/spa that is a good fit for you. It is also a large financial investment for the employer and because of this; our program encourages each salon/spa to seek out individuals that share values that are in line with their own individual salon/spa culture. It is recommended that you apply in person, however, you may email the program coordinator your resume and we can forward it onto our member salon and spas.
